Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc. in Texas is seeking an experienced planner/cost control professional to support the Construction Group and Maintenance Partners.

You will generate reports from ATLIS Estimating Software, Primavera P6, and SAP, consolidating data in Power BI to improve resource scheduling and decision making. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating, with strong proficiency in SAP, Excel, Power BI and Primavera P6, and a Bachelor or Master

• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
• Strong proficiency in SAP, Excel, Power BI and Primavera P6.
• Ability to develop construction cost estimates and schedules.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with priorities.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports from ATLIS Estimating Software, Primavera P6 and consolidate in Power BI.
• Monitor maintenance compliance, identify issues, and optimize resources and scheduling.
• Prepare cost control presentations with graphs, charts and tables.
• Maintain tracking systems to monitor KPIs and progress against expectations.
• Assist BASF Cost Control reporting and process improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the Construction Group and Maintenance Partners by generating reports from the ATLIS Estimating Software, Primavera P6 Software and consolidating this information in Power BI.


• Monitor maintenance compliance, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to manage resources and schedule constraints.


• Assist in preparing presentations on cost control topics, incorporating visual aids such as graphs, charts, and tables.


• Maintain tracking systems to monitor progress against expectations for various key performance indicators (KPI).


• Generate reports from ATLIS Software and SAP consolidating information in PowerBI.


• Maintain central maintenance metrics and graphics, and ensure compliance through SAP and PowerBI reporting.


• Create graphics/slicers for maintenance field change orders (FCO).


• Conduct internal (BASF) and external Site contractor process investigation.


• Perform scope reconciliation review.


• Investigate SAP work order schedule dispatch compliance.


• Engage in process discussions and improvements.


• Support Central Craft Dispatch response tool and attend related meetings.


• Assist with BASF Cost Control reporting and implementation and improvement of processes and reporting.


• Possess high proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.

Ideal Background

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master degree in Construction Science, Building Science or advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Experience

This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.

• Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.


• Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all project controls deliverables.


• Ability to develop a construction cost estimate, a detailed engineering schedule and a man-hour budget for a small project or an area for a larger project.


• Ability to determine construction material quantities.


• Experienced in estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work.


• Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.


• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software and Timberline Estimating software.


• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
