Job summary

WEG Electric Corp is seeking a Project Controller to support project managers through all phases of manufacturing projects from initial setup to closeout. Based in Duluth, GA, you will ensure accurate order setup, invoicing, forecasting, financial reporting and administrative compliance across finance and operations, driving project success.

This role requires strong analytical skills, superb attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project controlling or a closely related field.
• Hands-on SAP experience and IPEX familiarity.
• Strong Excel, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Project Support & Execution: Ensure project administrative compliance and support handover processes; manage reporting, scheduling and document management.
• Financial Management: Create and update invoicing structures; monitor progress billings; ensure tax and revenue recognition accuracy.
• Resource & Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams; provide regular revenue and forecast updates to leadership.

About the Role WEG Electric Corp is building a pipeline of Project Controllers for an anticipated project award While the start date has not yet been determined were interested in speaking with professionals who may be exploring opportunities due to project completion contract expiration or future career planning This position will be based in Duluth GA The Project Controller partners closely with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate order setup invoicing forecasting financial reporting and administrative compliance This role serves as a key liaison between Project Management and Accounting helping drive successful project execution through strong financial oversight and operational support This opportunity is ideal for a detail oriented professional who enjoys financial analysis project coordination and cross functional collaboration in a dynamic manufacturing project based environment

Primary Responsibilities

Project Support & Execution

• Serve as an integral resource for the Project Management Department across all phases of project executionEnsure project administrative compliance with established methodologies and internal standardsAssist with order handover processes supporting initial setup and ongoing administrative tasksSupport Project Managers with SAP and IPEX functionalities including reporting scheduling and financial document managementAddress discrepancies in the order entry process and resolve SAP and IPEX related technical issues as needed

Financial Management

• Perform regular financial reviews including forecasts and variance analysesCreate manage and update project invoicing structures during the order entry process and throughout order execution Perform accurate final invoicing ensuring payment processing aligns with project financial milestones and company standardsRegularly monitor progress billings ensuring Project Managers release billings on scheduleSafeguard the companys commercial and contractual interests in all financial dealings

Resource & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery and financial reporting acting as a liaison between Project Management and AccountingProvide regular updates to leadership including revenue recognition reports and sales forecasting reports highlighting financial risks and opportunities

Education

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field

Experience & Knowledge

7 years of experience in project controlling project accounting financial analysis accounting financial management or a related disciplineExperience supporting project based manufacturing engineering industrial or custom order environments preferredHands on experience with SAP software strongly preferredProficiency with financial management systems and reporting toolsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial reporting analysis forecasting and data managementStrong analytical skills including financial forecasting variance analysis and project performance reportingExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environmentStrong problem solving and decision making skillsEffective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate financial information to both technical and non technical stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and build productive working relationshipsDemonstrated initiative accountability and customer focusAbility to prepare professional documentation and reports independently
