Job summary

GE Vernova Advanced Research Center (ARC) seeks a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement of facility-related goods and services, align purchases with budgets, and support cost controls.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize supply chain reliability, develop SOWs, monitor KPIs, and help drive on-budget project execution across research operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field required with 3+ years relevant professional experience.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related field with 3+ years relevant professional experience.
  • High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant professional experience as alternative qualification path.

Responsibilities

  • Material & Service Requisitioning: Manage end-to-end procurement process in line with policies and budgets.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee facility inventory and conduct periodic counts to maintain accuracy.
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and scout for new vendors to improve cost efficiency.
  • Scope Development: Create Scopes of Work (SOWs) for service bids with clear deliverables and timelines.
  • Vendor Performance Management: Develop and monitor KPIs for vendors and ensure contract compliance.
  • Operations Budgeting: Assist in budgeting and analyze spend variances for cost savings.
  • Project Cost Controls: Track commitments, actuals vs forecast, and KPIs to support on-budget execution.

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to execute the strategic procurement of facility-related goods & services, while also monitoring project spend from a cost controls viewpoint. This role serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that all research operations are supported by high-quality materials and cost-effective, reliable service contracts.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Material & Service Requisitioning: Manage the end-to-end material & service requisition process, ensuring all purchases comply with company procurement policies and budget allocations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee facility inventory levels, including the execution of periodic physical inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records, avoid overstock while maintaining necessary levels for smooth operation
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while continuously scouting for new vendors to improve supply chain reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Scope Development: Partner with facilities team members to finalize comprehensive Scopes of Work (SOWs) for service bids, ensuring clear deliverables, timelines, and safety standards are documented for third-party contractors
  • Vendor Performance Management: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for service and material vendors; conduct regular performance reviews to ensure service levels meet contract requirements and quality standards.
  • Operations Budgeting: Assist in the development and tracking of the facilities operational budget; provide analysis on spend variances and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Project Cost Controls: Track project commitments, actuals vs forecast, and other project financial KPIs to support Project Managers to drive on-budget project execution
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Financeor related field with 3+ years relevant professional experience

  • High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant professional experience

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,700.00 and $121,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
