Socket.dev in Bluemont, Virginia seeks a Project Control Specialist to support telecommunications and systems engineering projects, coordinating with program managers, engineers, and government stakeholders to meet schedule, cost, and IMS milestones.
You will assist with project planning, risk and issue management, reporting, and compliance; help document designs and test plans; and ensure adherence to internal processes and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
The Project Control Specialist will provide project management and coordination support for telecommunications and systems engineering projects. This role works closely with program managers, engineers, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure technical, schedule, and cost objectives are met. The Project Control Specialist supports project planning, risk, and issues management, reporting, and compliance activities while contributing to technical reviews and program milestones.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with end-users, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead waist level from floor), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use, frequently fast paced environment.
