Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA is seeking a Project Scheduler, Associate to join the Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The role supports planning, scheduling, and production control activities for complex projects and requires collaboration across teams.

You will assist in developing schedules, identify critical paths, and monitor progress, with a flexible work arrangement including a 1-day work-from-home option and a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to support project scheduling and tracking.
  • Experience with project planning software, preferably Microsoft Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams; DoD clearance eligibility a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Support project managers in identifying critical path activities and resource allocation.
  • Assist Project Managers with the development of a Project Work Plan.
  • Create and maintain project schedules depicting prerequisites, manufacturing, purchasing and customer commitments for Production Control as required by the PMSM.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
  • Prepare and distribute schedule reports to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment on timelines.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and recommend solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Under detailed and guided direction, supports project planning and scheduling activities, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • This role involves collaborating with project team members to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using various scheduling tools.
Salary: $59,700.00 - $99,500.00 per year

Your Challenge:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Supports project managers in identifying critical path activities and resource allocation.
  • Assists Project Managers with the development of a Project Work Plan.
  • Creates and maintains project schedules depicting all project pre-requisite activities, manufacturing operations, purchasing activities, and customer commitments in support of the Production Control activities as required per the Project Management Standards Manual (PMSM) for the assigned production, design, and forecasted projects.
  • Monitors project progress and updates schedules accordingly.
  • Prepares and distributes schedule reports to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment on timelines.
  • Identifies potential schedule risks and recommends solutions.
What You Bring:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of basic project management principles preferred.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
