Job summary

BlueScope North America seeks a Project Clarifier to define project requirements and ensure accurate input for engineering workflows. You will work with customers and internal teams to clarify orders, coordinate with engineering on Vision models, and help finalize scope during reviews.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 2 years in metal building fields, with ability to read drawings. On-site role with a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Clarify Builder orders of low or medium complexity for completeness, accuracy, and optimization; communicate with customers and internal associates.
• Coordinate activities with Engineering team in Vision model throughout the engineering process.
• Support Project Management in finalizing scope of work and changes during clarification review.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and vendors.

The Project Clarifier establishes a clear and comprehensive understanding of specific projects that are submitted as orders. The Clarifier prepares detailed descriptions of projects and their requirements to allow efficient processing by the Engineering team. They check and revise input into proprietary software to ensure accurate modeling for external customers, engineering and services. The Clarifier focuses on continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality, and safety. The Project Clarifier also supports and engages in a collaborative work environment with all internal associates and external customers.

Job Duties

• Clarify Builder orders of low or medium complexity for completeness, accuracy, and optimization; which includes communicating with external customers and internal associates.
• Work with Engineering team to coordinate activities in Vision model throughout engineering process.
• Support Project Management in finalizing scope of work and changes during clarification review.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and vendors.

Education & Experience Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in the Metal Building field
• General understanding and ability to read architectural & structural drawings and specifications

Preferred

• 2 year technical degree
• 2 years of experience as an Engineering Technician
