Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is a rapidly growing civil engineering and construction management company within the Quanta Services family. QISG provides civil site design solutions for large-scale energy substations and transmission projects across North America, leveraging an in-house multidisciplinary team.

This role will design civil site, access, and drainage systems using design-build methods, with mentorship from senior engineers and leadership opportunities as projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Minimum five (5) years of civil design experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience in electric utility design (substation and transmission line).
• MicroStation Inroads design experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil engineering tasks using standard and advanced techniques.
• Develop civil construction specifications, assist in cost estimates and project schedules.
• Support substation and transmission line design including layout and drainage.
• Perform basic stormwater calculations for culverts and detention facilities.
• Interface with project leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee subcontractor drainage and grading work.
• Prepare reports and communicate information professionally.
• Occasional site visits to North American projects.
• Engage with sector professional organizations and industry events.
• Work under supervision of Engineering Director and Senior Engineer.
