Overview

The Project Capacity Planner is responsible for analyzing and forecasting resource needs to ensure that the organization can meet operational demands efficiently. This role translates business demand into actionable workforce and operational capacity plans, balancing cost, service levels, speed, and utilization. Partnering closely with cross‑functional and business owners, the Project Capacity Planner identifies resource utilization gaps, operational bottlenecks, and capacity risks while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, growth objectives, and financial constraints.

Salary range for this position is $90,593.36 – $105,914.12 with a progressive benefit package.

Responsibilities
  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.

  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.

  • Translates business projects, initiatives and plans into workforce and operational capacity requirements.
  • Partners with business owners and functional leaders to align capacity plans with strategic priorities, goals, and constraints.
  • Works closely with various departments to assess resource allocation and identify potential process bottlenecks.
  • Evaluates current and future workload requirements by analyzing data and tradeoffs between cost, service levels, speed, and utilization when recommending capacity actions.
  • Develops capacity models that balance demand, staffing levels, productivity, cost, and service targets.
  • Develops scenario models (e.g., growth, demand spikes, staffing constraints) to proactively identify capacity risks.
  • Monitors operational performance, utilization, and service levels across people and processes to identify capacity risks and improvement opportunities. Recommends adjustments to improve operational efficiency.
  • Conducts capacity analysis to determine current and future resource needs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Prepares reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Oversees implementation of capacity plans and ensures that departments are adequately staffed and equipped to meet demands.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in capacity planning, resource management, or supply chain operations is preferred.
  • Experience in operational, workforce, or enterprise capacity planning within a business environment (e.g., operations, supply chain, customer service, shared services).
  • Demonstrated experience translating business demand into staffing, throughput, or operational capacity plans.
  • Experience influencing decisions with senior stakeholders using data and scenario analysis.
  • Professional certifications in project management or process (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to interpret data and make informed decisions. Scenario modeling and tradeoff analysis skills a plus.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, forecasting software).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Ability to connect capacity decisions to financial and strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and make recommendations with imperfect data.
Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Director Program & Change Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
