Job summary

Golden Technology is seeking a Project Buyer to join our team in Morrisville, NC. The role focuses on procuring all project-related parts during development, quoting materials, and managing the RFI/RFQ process to meet cost and timing targets.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree (or 2-year with 5+ years of purchasing experience) and a proven track record in mid/high-volume manufacturing, preferably electro-mechanical products. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent with 4-year degree or 2-year with 5+ years related experience.
• Five years purchasing experience in mid to high-volume manufacturing, electro-mechanical products preferred.
• Knowledge of economic analysis methods (NPV, IRR, ROI).
• Familiarity with logistics and material requirements planning.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949 quality systems requirements.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities; team-oriented and credible.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is looking for a Project Buyer to join their Team! The Project Buyer will be responsible for the following:

• Procuring all purchased and intercompany parts required in the project during project development.
• Quoting and sourcing productive materials for the project to meet cost, quality and timing targets according to the product development process.
• Manage the RFI/RFQ process.
• Ensure competitive analysis of suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection according organizational instructions.
• Ensure contracts are executed in accordance to organizational instructions.
• Conduct negotiations about quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions.

Required Qualifications:

• Four year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics Management, or Engineering. OR Two Year Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Five years of purchasing experience with mid to high volume manufacturing. Electro-mechanical products preferred.
• Knowledge of economic analysis methods (NPV, IRR, ROI).
• Familiarity with logistics and material requirements planning.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or TS 16949 quality systems requirements.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
