Job summary

KNAPP North America in Georgia is seeking a proactive Senior Purchasing professional to manage material and service procurements for project work. You will negotiate terms with suppliers, support sales and engineering teams, and help optimize total landed cost.

This role offers two remote days per week, a modern office in Kennesaw, strong benefits, and opportunities to drive sourcing improvements across our intralogistics projects.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a point of contact between Knapp Inc. and its strategic suppliers
• Using analytical skills, identifies, screens and onboards potential suppliers
• Negotiates price, payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for MHE products and services within budget and schedule requirements
• Perform all necessary duties to support corporate goals as they relate to established supplier quality, total landed cost, and inventory objectives
• Take proactive role in identifying and resolving material availability, quality problems and service issues to deliver
• Execute purchases and manage orders to support project activity.
• Performs sourcing administrative functions such as requesting appropriate signatures for Non-Disclosure Agreements, contracts etc.
• Performs purchasing related clerical tasks as assigned
• Interface with Project Managers on purchasing items during project roll out
• Development and implementation of future instruments, methods, processes, systems and/or tools in procurement
• Development of improvement ideas and innovation followed by coordination and implementation of corresponding measures
• Ensures the Senior Project Buyer is well informed, at all times of changes and news-worthy events within the area of responsibility
• Effectively communicates relevant related information within the organization
