Job summary

Deluxe Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Design Services coordinator in the United States. The role centers on coordinating daily design workflow, reviewing and processing design requests, and managing billing for design work while delivering excellent customer service.

You will analyze technical requirements, troubleshoot artwork issues, and communicate effectively with customers to optimize design outcomes and timelines.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent with 4 years experience/training in Graphic Design/Printing/Art/Computers
• Demonstrated capability in resolving customer escalations under general supervision using company policies and procedures
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the technical requirements of artwork entering the department and analyzes daily workload reports.
• Troubleshoots artwork issues including DPI, color mode, fonts, sizing, and image quality; processes basic artwork requests in Adobe suite.
• Interacts with customers in a sales consultant mindset and makes recommendations that upsell the design team’s abilities.
• Follows up with open orders, incomplete projects and outdated work.

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the daily workflow within the Design Services department. They are responsible for reviewing, and processing design requests, entering work into the design department’s work queue, and processing billing for design work. This includes providing customer service, pricing/preparing quotes and technical know-how for customers to help enter and facilitate design projects.

• Evaluates the technical requirements of artwork coming into the department. Analyzes and processes internal reports for daily team workload, personal production sheets and external reports. Enforces policy for images usage, fonts and stock photos.
• Troubleshoots artwork issues, including: DPI, Color mode, fonts, sizing, layout and image quality. Processes basic artwork requests in Adobe suite of software programs.
• Understands and directs customers on internal manufacturing and vendor print restrictions and requirements. Interacts with customers using a sales consultant mindset and makes recommendations that “upsell” the design team’s abilities.
• Follows up with open orders, incomplete projects and out of date projects.

Basic Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent with 4 years experience/training in Graphic Design/Printing/Art/Computers
• Demonstrated capability in resolving customer escalations under general supervision using company policies and procedures
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 hourly. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
