Job summary

Child Care Resource Center in California seeks a mental health therapist to provide services to enrolled recipients, conduct family-centered consultations, and connect families with community referrals. Job Specifications
Minimum Required

Education: Master's or Doctoral Degree in psychology, social work, or related and license-eligible in the State of California through the BBS or BOP.

Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience providing therapy to adults, couples, families and children in a clinic-based or private practice setting. Experience gained during practicum training will be considered.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children birth to five and their families in any capacity (teaching, mental health, school, center, day care, etc.).
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care, ACEs/PEARLs, mental health and developmental issues with children 0-5 years.
Professional/Technical Certifications
  • Must be license-eligible in the State of CA (AMFT, ACSW) and registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); must maintain current CA BBS registration in good standing for the duration of employment.
  • Maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
Bilingual Required

Ability to converse, write, and/or translate in English and Spanish.

Travel

Some travel/business related driving required. Staff may choose any mode of transportation to arrive to and depart from the location where attendance is required. Staff must become an approved driver with CCRC prior to driving on behalf of CCRC, and meet requirements including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and receiving DMV clearance.

Work Schedule

Full time, typically M-F, ability to at times work a non-traditional work schedule including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

Work Environment

Mixture of working in an office work environment and working directly with the community; field-based.

  • Background check required.
  • Live Scan Clearance / DOJ Fingerprinting.
  • Health Clearance for positions working directly with the public in a child/community setting.
  • MVR / DMV clearance for positions where driving is required.
  • Child Development Permit for positions working in an educational capacity.
  • CPR / Pediatric CPR certification for positions working directly with the public in a child/community setting.
  • Federal Debarment Checks for positions acting in a principal capacity to federal funds.
