Job summary

Imperium Utility Services seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer billing for project-based utility and construction work. You will prepare invoices (unit price, time-and-materials, lump sum, cost-plus), reconcile timesheets and field tickets, and ensure timely payments.

You will collaborate with project managers and field staff, handle AR aging, process change orders, and support month-end close and WIP analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts receivable or billing, preferably in project-based work.
• Understanding of retainage, change orders, lien waivers, and unit-price or time-and-materials billing.
• Experience with NetSuite invoicing, cash application, and AR reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices in line with customer contracts and rate sheets.
• Reconciling timesheets, field tickets, and project docs prior to billing.
• Manage customer payments, research short pays and disputes, and monitor AR aging and WIP.
• Process change orders and retainage; issue lien waivers as required.
• Bill storm restoration and emergency work with supporting docs for approval.
• Record customer payments and reconcile AR with GL; support month-end close.
