Job summary

Qualifications

• Able to sit, walk, and move around for long hours.
• Must be able to stand 8–10 hours daily and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing (ladder).
• Must be trained in Lock Out / Tag Out prior to performing PM tasks.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow and give directions.
• Ability to operate, diagnose, and repair equipment safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication with vendors and team.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

• Ability to maintain and repair packaging or wood shop equipment (e.g., tape guns, tape machines, sheeters, minor auto bagger and sprint repair, conveyors, panel saw).

Project Assistant (Back-up)

Project Assistant provide support to the management and supervisory teams to ensure aspects of a project or task are dully attended to and completed at the right time, despite of setbacks encountered.

DESCRIPTION:

• Follow all Crown Packaging safety and health rules and regulations, and wear or use required protective equipment while working. Report hazardous conditions to the employer. Report any job-related injury or illness to the supervisor or manager and seek treatment promptly.
• Carry out all work assignments timely.
• Maintain all 5s requirements.
• Maintain production or wood shop equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and submit order requests to purchase.
• Follow all preventive maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Provide backup for moving materials using forklift and other equipment.
• Ability to maintain and repair packaging or wood shop equipment. (Example: Tape Guns, Tape Machines, Sheeters, Minor Auto Bagger and Sprint repair, Conveyors, panel saw, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be knowledgeable of all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
