Job summary

Bignell Watkins Hasser Architecture & Interiors, located in Annapolis, MD, seeks job captains, project architects or managers with 3–8 years of experience to join our growing team. Fluency in Revit is required; familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite is desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Fluency with Revit is required.
• Graphic presentation skills with knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SketchUp is preferred.
• Familiarity with the design process, including the preparation of Construction Documents.
• Flexibility to work on a variety of project types.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages of development.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams.
• Excels at communicating design ideas and direction quickly.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with various sized project teams, including outside consultants and engineers.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and collaborate on all phases of interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, construction documentation and construction administration
• Assist with the development of design concepts and provide graphic and visualization tools for client presentations. Actively participate in client design reviews and presentations.
• Research manufacturers and participate in the selection and presentation of building materials, fixtures, equipment, finishes, color palettes, artwork and lighting.
• Prepare floor plans, building elevations and sections. interior elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design and drawings, interior layouts, finish plans, and schedules
• Assist in the construction administration phase of projects and review of submittals, finish samples, sketches, and shop drawings
• Ability to collaborate with consultants, engineers, interior designers, and the architectural team
