DLR Group is an integrated design firm committed to elevating the human experience through design. Our Sacramento studio is hiring a Project Architect for our K-12 and Higher Education practice, supporting a hybrid work model for flexibility.

Position Summary

Project Architects at DLR Group manage all aspects of project document development for complex K-12 Education projects, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules. They collaborate within our integrated design teams to create buildings that enhance human experiences and partner with Project Managers to maintain project financial health, quality, and team collaboration. They lead cross-disciplinary technical solutions development.

What You Will Do

• Apply practice standards, maintain technical skills, and ensure BIM standards are followed
• Design, coordinate projects, and assist with specifications and cost estimates
• Communicate effectively and lead collaborative design solutions
• Meet deadlines, understand costs, and align with budgets
• Coordinate design disciplines and lead project development from schematic design to close-out
• Work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating technical proficiency and leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field
• 6-8 years of experience as a Project Architect
• Proficiency in REVIT and CAD software
• Ability to travel occasionally, eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• California licensure
• Experience with DSA, K-12 or Higher Education portfolios
