Job summary

EHDD in San Francisco seeks a Project Architect II to guide projects from concept through construction, emphasizing design excellence and technical rigor. You will lead technical documentation, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with codes and permitting processes.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in architecture, a professional degree, CA licensure, and strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, with experience in sustainable design and well-versed in collaborative design workshops.

Qualifications

Professional degree from an accredited school of architecture.
CA licensure required.
8-12 years of experience in a design/architectural practice.
Experience with sustainable design/LEED/WELL preferred.
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; strong 3D modeling skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Act as primary client contact on projects from concept through construction.
Direct and coordinate production of schematic, design development and construction documents.
Plan and execute technical documentation with knowledge of codes and permitting.
Perform construction administration duties (RFI, submittals, site observations).
Lead design workshops with clients and internal teams; review sessions.
Represent EHDD as a client lead without supervision.
