Job summary

IA Interior Architects in Los Angeles seeks a technically proficient leader to guide high-end hospitality interiors. The role focuses on team collaboration, design excellence, and delivering projects from concept through construction with architectural documentation and Revit execution.

The ideal candidate brings 10–15+ years of experience, luxury hospitality expertise, and a license. You will mentor junior staff and drive coordinated, compliant project delivery in a dynamic studio setting.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design (or equivalent experience).
  • 10–15+ years of professional experience, including luxury hospitality.
  • 5+ years managing projects.
  • Licensed Architect or Interior Designer required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate architectural documentation from concept to construction administration.
  • Prepare construction documents and details using Revit.
  • Coordinate with interior designers, engineers, lighting designers, and specialty consultants for integrated project delivery.
  • Resolve design and technical challenges while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget.
  • Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, and project presentations as needed.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration activities.
  • Ensure projects meet building codes, accessibility requirements, and client standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, design-focused studio environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate architectural documentation from concept design through construction administration.
  • Prepare construction documents and technical details using Revit.
  • Coordinate with interior designers, engineers, lighting designers, and specialty consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.

Education, Work Experience, and Leadership
Education
  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design (or equivalent experience)
  • 10–15+ years of professional experience, including:
  • Luxury Hospitality (required for SME role)
  • 5+ years managing projects
  • Licensed Architect or Interior Designer required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Deep understanding of aviation/airport planning, operations, and design standards
  • Familiarity with complex procurement processes and industry guidelines
  • Experience with building systems and envelope detailing (preferred)Advanced proficiency in:
  • Revit (BIM modeling)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong presentation, graphic communication, and storytelling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams in highly regulated environments
