KGD Architecture, an award-winning design firm, is seeking a Project Architect with 6–10 years of experience to join our Washington, DC studio. You will lead construction documents, coordinate across disciplines, and contribute to design development on diverse building types.

Qualifications

• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
• 6–10 years of professional experience, including Revit-based construction document production.
• Demonstrates strong design sensibility with an interest in building performance and constructability.
• Demonstrates clear verbal and graphic communication skills.
• Technology: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Licensure preferred or in active pursuit; LEED accreditation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of construction documents and detailing.
• Coordinates across disciplines with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Supports design development with clarity, technical insight, and creativity.
• Contributes to project delivery across all phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
• Mentors junior team members and participates in internal reviews and critiques.
• Liaises with project management, other architects, and consultants.
