Job summary

WRNS Studio in Seattle is seeking a Project Architect to lead design teams from concept through construction. The role requires strong leadership, coordination with consultants, and hands-on documentation across all project phases.

Candidates should have a professional degree in architecture, licensure, and extensive experience with Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. On-site work and a commitment to design excellence are essential.

Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (BArch / MArch).
  • Registered, licensed architect; LEED accreditation a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of architectural and planning experience with strong technical, design, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium to large-scale projects.
  • Experience with interior architecture, workplace projects is a plus.
  • Experience in all phases including Construction Administration.
  • Experience permitting projects through Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes.
  • Excellent Revit skills.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

WRNS Studio is seeking a Project Architect for our Seattle studio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design teams through all phases of projects, from concept to construction on various sizes and levels of complexity
  • Provide project team leadership and coordinate with consultants to engage clients, aligning vision and deliverables
  • Participate in production and oversee documentation of projects from concept, through entitlement, to permit submission
  • Oversee construction administration, ensuring design intent is maintained through execution
  • Exercise knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, and construction techniques
  • Work independently and as part of a project team, collaborating effectively to achieve excellence in design and sustainability

Requirements

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (BArch / MArch)

  • Proficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite – or a variety of conceptual design, rendering, and presentation graphics software platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Salary

At the time of posting, the salary range for this position is between $90,000 – $105,000 for candidates with 8-10 years of industry experience, $100,000 – $140,000 for candidates with 10-20 years of industry experience, and $135,000 – 155,000 for candidates with 20+ years of industry experience. Our final compensation decisions include a candidate’s experience as well as qualifications, background and education.
