Job summary

Kotak Design in New York is seeking an architect to prepare architectural presentation documents and construction drawings across diverse project types. The candidate should excel in CAD/3D software and collaborate to deliver high-end results for clients.

A Master’s degree in Architecture and eligibility for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects are required. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience on active construction sites, strong written and verbal communication,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school that allows Intern status.
• Experience preparing details, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Architectural presentation documents (renderings, boards, books).
• Understand Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Understand Rhino, Grasshopper, and parametric design.
• Maintain LEED BD+C Accreditation when applicable.

Job description

Applicants must have first-hand experience in preparing details, specifications, and construction documents. Strong working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Sketch-up, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Must have prior experience working on active construction sites on a multitude of project types. Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office is mandatory. A Master’s degree in Architecture is required from an accredited school that will allow for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-driven, and must have an interest in working collaboratively to produce high end results for our clients.
