Role Description The Project Architect is a full-time role responsible for leading projects from early design through construction in a hybrid work arrangement based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and BIM models, coordinating with consultants, and managing project documentation and submittals. The role involves overseeing technical standards, ensuring code compliance, and supporting sustainable design initiatives, including LEED-related efforts. The Project Architect will collaborate closely with internal teams, attend client and agency meetings, and help maintain project schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong architecture skills, including design development, construction documentation, and familiarity with building codes.
• Experience managing submittals, RFIs, and other construction-phase documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for coordination and documentation.
• Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, including scheduling, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants.
• Professional architecture degree (B.Arch or M.Arch) and progress toward licensure or architectural license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid office/remote setting.
• Experience with Los Angeles area permitting processes and local regulations is a plus.
