Job summary

Rescale Design Collaborative is seeking a Project Architect for a full-time, remote role. You will lead projects from concept through construction, develop design concepts, and produce comprehensive drawings and BIM models.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Architecture and BIM with complete drawing sets and digital models.
• Project Management experience: planning, scheduling, coordinating teams, delivering deliverables.
• Experience managing Submittals, RFIs, and construction-phase docs.
• LEED principles knowledge; LEED accreditation a plus.
• Professional Architecture degree (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited school.
• Licensure in architecture preferred or progress toward licensure.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication for remote, networked teams.
• Experience in client-facing roles, presenting concepts and managing expectations.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

Role Description

The Project Architect is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading projects from early design through construction completion. Day-to-day activities include developing design concepts, preparing detailed architectural drawings and BIM models, coordinating with consultants, and managing project documentation, including submittals and specifications. The Project Architect will oversee project schedules and workflows, support quality control reviews, and ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and sustainability goals, including LEED-related requirements where applicable. This role involves regular communication with clients and project teams, participation in virtual design meetings, and proactive coordination to resolve technical and design issues. The Project Architect will contribute to a collaborative, flexible remote work environment aligned with Rescale’s client-focused and relationship-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Architecture and Building Information Modeling (BIM), with experience developing complete drawing sets and digital models.


• Demonstrated ability in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordination of project teams, and oversight of deliverables.


• Experience managing Submittals, RFIs, and other construction-phase documentation with attention to detail and timely follow-through.


• Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices; LEED accreditation is a plus.


• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.


• Architectural licensure or clear progress toward licensure is strongly preferred.


• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit or other BIM platforms, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite).


• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, networked team environment.


• Experience with client-facing roles, including presenting design concepts and managing expectations.


• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects or deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
