AIA Seattle seeks a Project Architect/Project Manager to drive design and production for residential, civic, and commercial projects. The role involves coordinating a small, collaborative team across phases, from concept to construction documents, with emphasis on quality deliverables.
Ideal candidates have 6–10 years of experience, are licensed or nearing licensure, and can work from our Bainbridge Island (Seattle) or Malibu studio.
We are seeking a Project Architect/ Project Manager to be involved with all aspects and phases of the design and production of custom modern residential, civic, and commercial design projects. Depending on the candidate, this position may be located in either our Bainbridge Island (Seattle) or Malibu (Los Angeles) studio.
You have six to ten years of practical experience and are passionate about doing good work. You may or may not know exactly how to detail a specific system (hey, we are all still learning!) but you know how to research and find the right answer. You are capable of managing and motivating your own efforts as well as the efforts of others on your project team. Not only do you know what a quality set of documents looks like (and can share examples), you take pride and personal responsibility in the preparation and coordination required to realize them. You want to be a part of a small office where we all have a voice and we all can learn from one-another. You are either licensed or on well into the path to licensure. You already live in the Seattle/ Puget Sound area and want to collaborate here in the office with the rest of us.
We are a small firm, doing residential, civic, and commercial projects in the Puget Sound and Southern California. We believe that the best architects operate as generalists and, as we cautiously grow, we are looking for someone who shares in our interest in all aspects of a project’s realization to create work that inspires us.
We are a BIM/ Mac-based office. We use Archicad (although we have found that Revit experience makes for an easy transition) with Enscape and BIM-X. We also use Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office products.
We are hoping to add your creativity, drive, professionalism, and a shared desire to continue learning here to our studio culture!
Benefit package includes health and vision, 401K with employer match, generous PTO in addition to paid holidays, and a professional development program.
