Job summary

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for a Project Architect to join our Austin office. We focus on high-quality project documents and constructable design, with opportunities to lead and mentor a team.

Ideal candidates bring a professional architecture degree, 6+ years of experience, and strong Revit skills, plus knowledge of building systems and code analysis. You will mentor 1-2 junior architects and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture; licensure preferred.
• 6+ years of architecture experience with strong technical background.
• Experience directing teams of 1-2 junior architects.
• Strong Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe CS skills.
• Deep understanding of code analysis and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead client interactions and manage expectations.
• Oversee project documentation and prioritize tasks.
• Direct production efforts as the design components develop and coordinate with consultants.
• Resolve design and technical issues throughout the project.
• Participate in setting fees, scope, and project schedule.

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for a Project Architect to join our Austin office. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to high-quality project documents and constructable design; someone who is looking for the opportunity to lead and mentor. We work on everything from high-end residential to retail and restaurants to civic projects like city halls and public parks, so we’re also looking for someone who is excited to both learn new things and apply their existing knowledge in different ways.

In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks, including:

• Leading client interactions
• Overseeing the documentation of a project and prioritizing tasks
• Managing the production effort as the team develops design components and details and coordinate with consultants
• Resolving design and technical issues
• Participating in setting fees, scope, and project schedule

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for people who:

• Have a professional degree in Architecture; licensure preferred
• Have 6+ years of relevant architecture experience with a strong technical background
• Have experience providing direction to teams of 1-2 junior architects
• Develop lasting relationships with their team, their clients, and their stakeholders
• Are creative, analytical problem solvers
• Love teaching
• Are excellent in Revit (Sketchup, and Lumion, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe CS are all big pluses)
• Have deep understanding of code analysis, building systems, and how to tell a design’s story to through the contract documents
