Job summary

ICF is seeking a Project Analyst (SETA 1) to support NSF science and engineering initiatives. The role is based in Alexandria, VA with a hybrid schedule and telework options, offering opportunities to influence grants management and programmatic tasks from the outset.

Minimum qualifications include a BS/BA and at least 5 years of research and development experience in grants management and project management, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; a Master's or PhD is preferred.

ICF is seeking a Project Analyst (SETA 1) to support science and engineering innovation programs at the National Science Foundation (NSF). Your work will contribute to enabling the U.S. to uphold its leadership in innovation in science and engineering. Work Location:

This role has a hybrid work schedule with some telework, and is based in Alexandria, VA.

• Minimum of 5 years of research and development expertise in grants management, project management, and supporting research projects.
• Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools is required.

What We Would Like You To Bring With You:

• Master's or PHD degree in equivalent education (advanced degrees will be counted toward the minimum 5-year experience requirement)
• Preferred experience working in the innovation ecosystem and/or familiarity with a federal government funding research agency in a Science, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) role.
• Preferred familiarity with NSF's partnerships landscape study.
• Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including managing research projects, data analysis and visualization, survey implementation, project strategy and management.
• Proficiency in interpreting and executing industry-standard project management tools, technical note capture and reporting, and other administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and coordinating deliverable feedback.
• Strong technical and project management experience aligned with the needs of diverse research and innovation programs.

Professional Skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective communication channels with federal technical staff and programmatic contractor personnel.
• Strong multitasking abilities, familiar with a fast-paced environment.
