Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Project Analyst / Project Manager to support a Department of Veterans Affairs IT contract focused on system network infrastructure. You will coordinate, track, and report on deliverables, schedules, risks, and Agile delivery for the network team, working closely with the government Project Manager and external technical leads.

The role includes serving as Scrum Master for SAFe/Agile practices, managing Jira, and ensuring contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; eight years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience as Project Analyst or Project Manager on government IT contracts.
• Experience creating and maintaining tools for tracking cost, schedule, and performance.
• Ability to present analyses in narrative and graphical form.
• Knowledge of system network infrastructure projects and SAFe/Agile practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for project coordination between VetsEZ and government PM.
• Oversee, track, and report on deliverables to meet contract requirements and timelines.
• Manage team schedules, deliverables, and software acquisitions.
• Create tools to track program, project, and task performance data (cost, schedule, performance).
• Produce routine and ad hoc reports, presenting findings in verbal and written form.
• Coordinate with external leads to align objectives and technical solutions.
• Act as Scrum Master, supporting SAFe/Agile planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives.
• Organize and maintain Jira for backlog management and reporting.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies; escalate as needed.
• Maintain project docs and provide status reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

VetsEZ is seeking a Project Analyst / Project Manager to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) government IT contract delivering system network infrastructure. The role will coordinate, track, report on, and manage project deliverables, schedules, risks, and Agile delivery for the network infrastructure team, working closely with the government Project Manager and external technical leads.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project coordination between the VetsEZ team and the government Project Manager.
• Oversee, track, and report on project deliverables and work products to ensure compliance with contract requirements and timelines.
• Manage team schedules, deliverables, and software acquisitions.
• Create, apply, and maintain tools to track program, project, and task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data.
• Create routine and ad hoc reports, and present analytical findings orally and in writing using narrative and graphic forms.
• Coordinate with external technical leads and stakeholders to align project objectives and technical solutions for system network infrastructure work.
• Serve as Scrum Master for the team, supporting and implementing SAFe/Agile practices, including planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Organize and maintain Jira to support backlog management, operational efficiency, and team collaboration.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status reports to internal and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve issues and keep work aligned with project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline. Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience as a Project Analyst or Project Manager supporting government IT contracts.
• Experience creating, applying, and maintaining tools to track cost, schedule, and performance data, and creating routine and ad hoc reports.
• Ability to present analytical findings orally and in writing using narrative and graphic forms.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with system network infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks and practices.
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience serving as Scrum Master and organizing Jira to support team workflows, backlog management, and reporting.
• Experience managing software acquisitions for technical teams.
• PMP, SAFe, or Agile certification.
• An active Public Trust clearance or higher.
• Experience using AI tools (for example, Microsoft 365 Copilot) to draft status reports, summarize meetings and action items, and analyze schedule and performance data, with the analyst verifying accuracy before release.
• Experience using AI tools to support Agile delivery, such as drafting user stories, refining backlogs, and preparing sprint and program increment summaries.
• Familiarity with secure and responsible AI use in federal environments, including using only agency-approved AI tools, never entering sensitive VA or contract data into unapproved tools, and following VA and federal AI guidance.
• Experience supporting VA or other federal healthcare IT programs.
