Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Project Analyst to manage the financial health of our projects, recording all financial data and reporting clearly to the Project team. The role acts as the financial expert for client interactions, educating and challenging teams as needed.

The Project Analyst escalates financial concerns through the appropriate channels and supports audit processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure profitability and accurate invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-year equivalent degree.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Management Team to accurately record actual units and corresponding value completed on a monthly cycle.
  • Work with Project Management Team to accurately forecast future units and revenue.
  • Perform analysis on actual hours and cost versus budget to ensure profitability.
  • Review that projected resource assignments are in line with forecasted work.
  • Ensure invoices are raised as soon as applicable.
  • Monitor the total project cash position including services, PTC’s, Grants, outstanding invoices, advances, etc.
  • Accurately record financial data in required systems.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support the year end and interim audit processes.
  • Support the Change Order process through the accurate recording of changes in scope and review/approval of Change Order budgets and payment schedules.
  • Stay up to date with local and global revenue regulations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting to clients in a timely manner in line with client requirements.
  • Work on projects and areas of specialty as agreed with the Lead/Senior Project Analysts

SUMMARY

The role of Project Analyst is to manage the financial health of our projects, working closely with the project to team to accurately record all financial data, report financial data clearly to the Project team and be the financial expert for client interactions. The project analyst does this through collaboration, educating and, when necessary, challenging teams. The Project analysts has the responsibility to elevate any financial concerns through the appropriate escalation routes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Project Management Team to accurately record actual units and corresponding value completed on a monthly cycle
  • Work with Project Management Team to accurately forecast future units and revenue
  • Perform analysis on actual hours and cost versus budget to ensure profitability
  • Review that projected resource assignments are in line with forecasted work
  • Ensure invoices are raised as soon as applicable

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to influence and challenge as required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present information, including English language proficiency
  • Understanding of the financial aspects of projects from Study Award to Project Close Out
  • Familiar with revenue recognition on a percent complete basis
  • Creating financial presentations and effectively communicating them to non-financial coworkers and clients
  • Take responsibility for self-learning
  • Preferred work experience in business or finance
REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
