Position Overview

This role builds and improves AI-enabled tools for CTMC. Projects and priorities will evolve as the technology and business needs change. The Specialist works with users to identify useful workflows, develops practical solutions, tests and documents them, and helps teams adopt them. Success calls for hands-on building, sound judgment with sensitive information, curiosity, and comfort with a changing project mix.

Current AI Tools

MARK supports executive and communications content, including social posts, articles, video scripts, panel and podcast preparation, and campaign planning. Its drafts are ready for editing, with ongoing work to improve accuracy and CTMC voice.

MIA is a meeting intelligence MVP that connects decisions, dependencies, and risks across Manufacturing, Analytical Development, Process Development, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory. Broader adoption and data coverage are next priorities.

REGGIE is a regulatory change assessment prototype that identifies potentially affected IND sections; subject matter experts make the final assessment. The goal is to reduce assessment time from about three hours to about 30 minutes, subject to integration with Veeva RIM.

Responsibilities
  • Advance MARK, MIA, and REGGIE toward version 2.0 and beyond through feature planning, hands‑on configuration and building, user testing, release documentation, and improvements in reliability, adoption, and integration.
  • Work with users to understand repetitive or manual workflows, gather feedback, maintain a prioritized backlog within agreed goals, and iterate as needs change.
  • Establish and report practical measures of adoption, quality, and time savings for each tool to demonstrate impact.
  • Develop the CTMC design system (Claude-based) for external content generation, encoding CTMC's brand voice, visual identity, and document standards into reusable skills and templates.
  • Partner with communications and executive stakeholders to ensure externally facing content produced with the design system is accurate, on-brand, and consistent with CTMC review processes.
  • Design and build AI-enabled solutions for CTMC workflows, including prompts and Claude skills, agents, low-code automation, and connections to approved Microsoft 365 and SharePoint data; test solutions with users and document their use.
  • Create user guides, training materials, and internal documentation; support and train employees in effective and responsible use of AI tools. The expected balance is approximately 60-70% building and improvement and 30-40% feedback, support, and training, depending on releases.
  • Support CTMC's data culture by helping teams structure, analyze, and visualize business data.
  • Apply responsible AI practices and CTMC policies for privacy and confidentiality. Escalate proposed scope or priority changes and questions about data access or confidentiality; route externally facing content through communications and executive review.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Initial Priorities

In the first 90 days, learn MARK, MIA, and REGGIE and how people use them; take at least one tool through a version 2.0 release, including a feature plan, build, testing, and release notes; and begin measuring adoption and time savings. The tool selected will reflect business priorities at the time of hire.

Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in computer science, data science, engineering, business analytics, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience building with AI or large language model tools, prompt engineering, or automation through employment, coursework, or personal projects. No minimum years of experience required.
  • Hands‑on ability to create, test, and improve AI‑assisted workflows; experience with Claude or similar tools preferred. Examples of completed tools, a portfolio, or GitHub work are welcome.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into tool requirements and clear user documentation.
  • Self‑directed and organized, with the ability to manage changing priorities, make practical design and testing decisions within agreed goals, and respond to stakeholder feedback.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data privacy, and confidentiality practices.
  • Interest in biotechnology, cell therapy, or healthcare preferred.
