Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms per procedures, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and surface disinfection.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms per procedures.
• Maintain unit supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, disinfecting wipes, soap, hand sanitizer).
• Clean common areas and offices; remove and handle trash and biohazardous waste per procedures.
• Answer beeper promptly and respond to unit requests; assist with isolation room cleaning as required.
• Distribute linen and maintain inventory; assist with room setups or patient moves.
• Assist with project tasks (floor stripping/waxing, carpet cleaning, window washing) and maintain equipment.

This includes, stripping, waxing and burnishing of floors, cleaning carpets, washing interior and exterior windows, cleaning of soffits.Maintains and stores all equipment properly and according to procedures.Assists with room set ups or patient moves as assigned. €.Uses tools, chemicals and equipment properly. Maintains all safety standards during the course of the workday.Distributes beds and mattresses as ordered on the unit. Assures that inventory of beds and mattresses is maintained.
