Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Administrator to support the Project Controls Cost Team on large-scale construction projects in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for someone recent out of college or with 1–2 years of experience in engineering, construction, or project coordination who wants to break into project controls.

You will handle day-to-day cost control, invoices, tracking, and reporting. The position offers day-one benefits including medical, dental, and vision, with 401(k) eligibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related required.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project environments.
• Experience with invoicing / billing / cost tracking required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day cost control and project administration activities
• Assist with invoice processing, tracking, and reconciliation
• Maintain and update Excel trackers and cost reports
• Track project spend, budgets, and cost data
• Support change orders and budget adjustments in internal systems
• Coordinate with project managers, cost engineers, and field teams
• Assist with weekly/monthly reporting for project leadership
• Help organize project documentation and support administrative needs

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day cost control and project administration activities
• Assist with invoice processing, tracking, and reconciliation
• Maintain and update Excel trackers and cost reports
• Track project spend, budgets, and cost data
• Support change orders and budget adjustments in internal systems
• Coordinate with project managers, cost engineers, and field teams
• Assist with weekly/monthly reporting for project leadership
• Help organize project documentation and support administrative needs

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related
• 0–2 years of experience (internships count) in construction, engineering, or project environments
• Experience or exposure to invoicing / billing / cost tracking
• Strong attention to detail & ability to handle repetitive tasks

Nice to Have

• Internship or exposure to project controls / cost engineering
• Experience with Power BI or data tools
• Familiarity with cost systems / ERP tools

Compensation

$25/hr to $30/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
