Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking an experienced Project Accountant in Concord, MA to support project teams with financial oversight across the project lifecycle. You will handle project accounting, billing, budgeting, and general accounting while partnering with operational teams to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of project accounting or related experience.
• Proficiency with accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with project-based accounting environments.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems.
• 2+ years of experience with Delktek Vantagepoint.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle project accounting for assigned projects.
• Monitor budgets, costs, profitability, and financial performance.
• Provide financial guidance and reporting with project managers and ops teams.
• Prepare client invoicing and project billing.
• Review contracts to ensure billing aligns with requirements.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
• Reconcile project transactions and maintain records.
• Generate financial reports and project analyses.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Support process improvements in accounting.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accuracy.
