Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an Associate Project Accountant to support a construction project team with accurate financial reporting, timely invoicing, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include maintaining project ledgers, producing month-end reports, forecasting cash flow, and ensuring adherence to project accounting policies. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ project accounting experience preferred.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Good organization skills with high level of attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to analyze and resolve basic issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Maintains project register. Prepares month-end posting/allocations and accruals. Controls the accounts payable and receivable tasks for the project.
• Identifies and assists with the resolution of basic project-related accounting issues.
• Ensures policies and procedures for project accounting are adhered to.
