Job description

• Analyze project financial data to monitor performance, identify trends, and flag potential issues.
• Coordinate accurate and timely project setup, ensuring alignment with contract terms and organizational policies.
• Review contracts to understand project scope, billing requirements, and financial obligations.
• Monitor project budgets, track changes, and ensure updates are properly reflected in financial systems.
• Verify that commitments to external partners or vendors align with project financial plans.
• Ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
• Manage project billing documentation, including preparation and oversight of AIAs and support for project requisitions.
• Monitor retainage balances, reductions, and payments to subcontractors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Track and verify lien waivers and vendor waivers submitted by subcontractors.

Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial reports, including detailed commentary on project status, variances, and key financial metrics.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide financial insights to support decision‑making.
• Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Support project teams and leadership by providing financial information, analysis, and assistance with budgeting, audits, or special initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders regarding financial performance and escalates concerns when necessary.

Audit & Compliance

• Assist with internal and external audits related to project financials.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
