Job summary

Confident Search Consultants in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Project Accountant to join an expanding construction leader on-site. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-trust environment, this role offers a mix of budgeting, billing, and hands-on financial analysis.

You’ll work with project managers, use Sage 300, and ensure accurate vendor/payables and tax compliance. A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of accounting experience are required; local candidates only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and advanced Excel skills.

• Manage project finances from setup to monthly billing using Sage 300.
• Partner with project managers to track budgets, analyze risks, and spot savings.
• Handle vendor compliance, accounts payable, and sales/use tax.

What you bring:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
