Job summary

Ledcor Group is hiring a Project Accountant to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting for construction projects in a hybrid work setting in the United States. Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage effective project cost control systems
  • Interpret and communicate contractual and commercial terms
  • Deliver accurate cost reporting and strategic financial insights to leadership
  • Support collective agreement development and execution
  • Coordinate invoicing documentation, including statutory declarations and compliance certificates
  • Prepare and submit LEM reports, progress billings, invoices, and holdback releases
  • Validate third‑party invoices and reconcile electronic billing with client systems
  • Monitor equipment usage, rental agreements, subcontractors, and ensure contractual compliance
  • Support project managers with change orders, payroll coordination, payment resolution, and month‑end journal entries

Job description

As a Project Accountant, you will ensure the accurate and timely entry and reporting of financial data within the company’s systems. Your key responsibilities will include managing accounts receivable, subcontractor payments, payroll processing, equipment time tracking, accounts payable, and supporting month-end close activities. You will collaborate closely with management and project teams to guarantee data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. You are a motivated individual with a commitment to continuous learning, growth, and career development.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage effective project cost control systems
  • Interpret and communicate contractual and commercial terms
  • Deliver accurate cost reporting and strategic financial insights to leadership
  • Support collective agreement development and execution
  • Coordinate invoicing documentation, including statutory declarations and compliance certificates

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operational cost accounting role
  • Experience within commercial construction, Telecom or a related industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP is preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction methods
  • Financial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysis
  • Working knowledge of construction accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of construction software systems
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Work Conditions

This is a hybrid position which will be comprised of some work from home flexibility and in‑office attendance.

Compensation

$61,600.00 - $84,700.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
