Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant in Atlanta, GA to support the financial performance of complex engineering projects. You will manage project setup, invoicing, AR, and WIP, partnering with project leaders to ensure accurate reporting and healthy cash flow.

The role is hybrid, permanent, and requires 3+ years in project accounting, with strong Excel and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or project accounting experience.
• Experience with project billing, accounts receivable, collections, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Unanet or similar software is a strong plus.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) or professional services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project setup and maintenance within Unanet.
• Prepare accurate and timely client invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable and lead collection efforts.
• Track and manage Work-in-Process (WIP) and unbilled costs.
• Review contracts and proposals to ensure proper billing requirements.
• Support project managers with financial reporting and project performance metrics.
• Lead project review meetings and provide financial insights.
• Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.
• Maintain project data integrity and reporting accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience within Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), consulting, or professional services environments is highly preferred
