Job summary

Cleveland Electric Company in Atlanta is seeking an accounting professional to manage project financial data, job costing, progress billings, and WIP reporting for our growing construction portfolio. The role emphasizes accuracy, analytical thinking, and collaboration with project teams.

You will partner with Project Managers to ensure precise costs, monitor cash flow, and support audits, leveraging advanced Excel skills and a detail-oriented approach in a full-time, in-office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience (construction preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project financial data including job costing, progress billings, and project activity review.
• Prepare and issue accurate progress billings, while also compiling supporting documentation.
• Reconcile billings including labor and non-labor inputs.
• Partner with Project Managers to resolve billing issues and delays.
• Ensure accurate job costs and adjustments.
• Track job costs vs budget and analyze variances.
• Review contracts, change orders, and maintain compliance.
• Prepare and maintain WIP schedules and reporting around project data.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure funding for obligations.
• Support audit requests with documentation.
• Provide financial guidance to project teams.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies.
