Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician to support licensed nursing staff by assisting with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities for a designated patient group. The role acts as a liaison with departments, visitors, and patients, under the supervision of the nursing manager.

The HCT will assist with unit supply maintenance, data collection, basic psychomotor skills like vital signs and glucose monitoring, and patient transportation.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CNA certification or coursework completed.
• At least one nursing clinical experience or related training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for assigned patients.
• Stock supplies, clean equipment, and manage unit charts.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed by RN.
• Assist with patient transportation and hourly rounding.
