Job summary

Rush Copley Medical Center in Illinois seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Intermediate Care Area (ICA). The ICA is a 36-bed, progressive care unit providing step-down support for patients who need more than a medical-surgical floor but less than ICU care.

Under RN supervision, the PCT performs clinical and environmental tasks and cares for patients of all ages. CPR is required; bilingual Spanish abilities are highly desirable, and CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma/GED preferred
• Associate's Degree/Clinical Certification preferred or comparable Copley experience.
• Certifications: CPR Required
• CNA Certification Preferred
• Special Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates the ability to care for patients of all ages in the clinical setting.
