Rush University Medical Center in Chicago seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support RN in providing patient care on 9 North Atrium - General Medicine. Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week).

The role includes assisting with ADLs, documenting care, maintaining safety, and contributing to a collaborative care team in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Prior formal clinical training (CMA, CNA, PCT, EMT, corpsman, paramedic, nursing or medical student experience).
• Successful completion of institutional screening examination.
• Ability to solve simple problems and communicate effectively with patients and teammates.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the RN in the delivery of patient care.
• Report to charge RN or designee for assignment of duties.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and prioritize tasks based on patient needs.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transport of patients.
• Document all care accurately in the patient care record at the point of care.
• Perform routine procedures, treatments, and specimen collections as directed.
