Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
• Minimum of six months of clinical experience as an RN.
• Current Texas RN license or valid Multi-State Compact license; Texas RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Skills
