Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a high-acuity environment. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care on the Progressive Care Unit, educate families on medications, and maintain accurate patient records.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact acceptable), a nursing diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure with active FL RN license or compact licensure; if compact, license active within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Recent or prior acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication; basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records, posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
