Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in Florida is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity, patient-centered care on the PCU. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS. Prior acute care experience and strong communication skills are essential; commitment to teamwork and patient education is valued.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure required; active FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and exam results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
