Job summary

Key duties include admitting and assessing patients, performing clinician-ordered procedures, documenting care, administering medications, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN certification and licensure (RN) required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during each shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures or functions ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
