Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Progressive Care Nurse to coordinate care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and collaborate with physicians.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact state licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One to two years clinical nursing preferred.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory support, ventilator management and monitoring.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with healthcare team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse
