Job summary

The Children's Home in New York State is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical support, ensuring high-quality written and spoken communication while maintaining an organized, efficient office environment.

On-site duties include distributing materials to community agencies and staff, recording case materials, and preparing reports and vouchers. The role requires confidentiality and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organization skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to all programs daily through administrative tasks.
  • Ensure timely recording of case materials, foster parent files, census data, monthly and annual reports.
  • Ensure reports and vouchers are completed accurately and timely for billing and revenue purposes.
  • Cross-train to provide backup during high demand periods and staff turnover.
  • Maintain proficiency in office technology and produce professional documents and databases.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle changing responsibilities under supervision.
