The University of Memphis East is seeking a qualified individual for a fundraising role focusing on strategies for student philanthropy and donor stewardship. Responsibilities include collaborating with university leaders and managing campaigns while fostering a culture of philanthropy within the institution. Strong organizational abilities, a bachelor's degree, and relevant experience are essential for this position.
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of work in development or related job experience. Relevant experience may substitute for the required education. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

The department is especially interested in candidates with higher education or non-profit fundraising experience, conducting discovery calls, donor stewardship, and customer service.
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
May require work beyond normal hours, including some nights, weekends, and occasional out-of-town travel.

Hiring Range: $58,000 - $65,000 per year
While performing duties, employees are regularly required to sit, handle or feel with hands, talk, or hear. Frequent walking is required. Occasionally, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching are needed. Employees must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision.

Positions supervised include graduate assistants.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills. Attention to detail in completing assignments.

Fundraising: Develop strategies for programs like student philanthropy, giving days, and affinity campaigns. Focus on peer-to-peer and hyper-segmented campaigns, storytelling, digital outreach, and responsive programming. Partner with Advancement Communications for campaign messaging and manage related events.
Collaboration: Act as university engagement liaison, coordinate development efforts, build relationships with leaders, and foster a culture of philanthropy.
Administration: Provide campaign reports, analyze data for strategy adjustments, collaborate with various development teams, supervise graduate assistants and student workers, and support the Annual Giving team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
