Senior Living Residences is seeking a patient and organized programming assistant to support the Program Director in creating, scheduling, and implementing activities for our Ridgefield residents. The role emphasizes building relationships with residents and coordinating daily programming seven days a week.

The position supports a team dedicated to compassionate care, with opportunities for professional development, inclusive benefits, and the chance to contribute to meaningful social engagement

Rates start at $19.50 per hour

WHAT OUR PROGRAMMING ASSISTANTS DO

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families;

• Participatein scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred. Must have 1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
• Physical requirements : Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)
• Communication: An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
• Punctuality & reliability – Our residents rely on us to assist them with their daily living activities and we expect our associates to deliver on this promise.
