UC San Diego Health seeks a Programming and Design Manager to lead design and programming for complex healthcare capital projects, coordinating with executives and project teams.
The role involves advising on staff workflow, materials, and equipment, and representing the department on strategic programs to ensure best practices and organizational needs are met.
Reporting to the Director Health Campus Development, the Programming and Design Manager will serve as principal UC San Diego Health interface for the design and construction of Healthcare capital projects that could include new construction, major renovations, expansions, major infrastructure and other high-profile or special projects, as assigned by the Director and Chief Administrative Officer.
As a subject matter and industry expert, the incumbent will advise senior management in the programming, design and planning of complex and highly specialized clinical enterprise capital projects. As such they will serve as the primary contact for the project team in their area(s) of expertise.
In this role, the Programming and Design Manager will collect, develop, and analyze Key Performance Units to inform project requirements, adjacencies, and spatial implications. Role will prepare and communicate information regarding staffing workflow, acceptable materials, equipment, and other duties as assigned. Will represent UC San Diego Health Campus Development for strategic building projects/programs to ensure that best practices are implemented and the needs of UC San Diego Health are met. Role will work closely with capital program managers to ensure the strategic planning and programming is realized in the project scope. Will serve as department representative when Director is not available.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $136,600 - $267,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $65.42 - $128.16
